It is November 2019, one year away from the next Presidential\nelection.  Trump is a shoo-in on the\nRepublican ticket, so the only real issue is who will be the Democratic nominee\nor does it even matter!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, Michael Bloomberg, ex-Mayor of NYC, appears to have thrown his hat in the ring, closely followed by Deval Patrick, ex-Governor of Massachusetts.  (Am I the only one who has noticed that if one pronounces Deval a certain way, it sounds like \u201cDevil\u201d.  Just a thought!) Never in the history of American Presidential elections have two viable candidates waited until the eleventh hour to enter the race.<\/em>   It is critical to understand that this is not mere coincidence!  There are strong reasons for this anomaly, reasons that will define the outcome of who will be the victor in the 2020 Presidential Election.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the original twenty-plus Democrats who began the vast\nmoney waste of \u201cmatching funds\u201d to test the waters for a presidential run, many\nhave departed thankfully, leaving three front\nrunners, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, the two reigning Socialists, and Joe\nBiden, the foot-in-the-mouth specialist. \nThere remain a few staggering hangers-on, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris,\ngive-away-the-ship Andrew Yang, in-house comedienne Amy Klobuchar, Cory Booker (Sharpe\nJames\u2019 replacement in lovely Scenic Newark, which was no better when he left),\nJulian Castro on the \u201cwe have never had a Hispanic president, making me\nuniquely qualified\u201d ticket, and a few other names just not worth\nmentioning.  It is flabbergasting that\nSaturday Night Live has not recruited some of these individuals for future\nshows.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognizing a three-ring circus of incompetency, Michael Bloomberg\ntook the risk of running late in the game. \nHis basic weaknesses are obvious: too NYC, too Jewish, too short.  For those of us that neighbor NYC, his\npositives far outweigh his negatives.  He\nis bright, successful, self-determined and most importantly not dependent on lobbyists and special interest groups to\nfund his campaign. <\/em> <\/strong>He is\na moderate, appealing to middle-America,who may carry all those\nAmerican citizens who can no longer tolerate Trumpian tweeting and antics, even\nwith the economy humming along.  He may\ncarry Democrats who have no interest in the Warren\/Sanders Socialist policies\nof encouraging more Americans to feed off the system by living off the public\ndole, of Medicare-for-all, a one way ticket to American bankruptcy, or free\ncollege tuition for all, which we universally agree would be optimal, just not\nfiscally possible without a huge escalation in taxes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be perfectly honest, I did not know very much about Deval\nPatrick, until this week.  As he was\nprimarily elected when Mitt Romney declined to run for governor of\nMassachusetts in order to pursue his own presidential ambitions, Patrick was\nnot a well-known public figure.  Researching\navailable biographical information on him shows him to be a formidable\nindividual with a strong fiscal background as a current managing director at\nBain Capital, with a history of strong support of improving standards for the\nBlack community, and of supporting a peaceful settlement in the never-ending Israeli-Palestinian\nstruggle.  He supports environmental\npolicies and increases in minimal wage historically. The only problem with\nPatrick appears that he lacks the personal resources to not depend on contributions\nfrom the lobbyists and special interests groups to fund his campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that Bloomberg and Patrick are clearly a cut\nabove the bad actors currently on the Democratic roster.  Either one would appear to be capable of providing\nAmerica with far better future prospects than the riff-raff currently running\non the \u201canyone but Trump\u201d ticket.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what is the problem. Americans wise up, vote in the\nprimaries and select Bloomberg, preferably, or Patrick, secondarily to oppose Trump\nin the 2020 Presidential Election and America wins!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, so na\u00efve!  The\nwild card and my personal prediction for the outcome of the Election 2019 is\nbased on one simple fact. This election is Bernie\nSanders \u201cLast Hurrah\u201d.   It is now\nor never! Bernie actually believes he can win. \nHe drank the juice (not Jim Jones\u2019, for those of you that remember that\nunfortunate event).  It is totally conceivable that Bernie Sanders, carrying his\ndelusion forward, will run on a third-party ticket and hand the election over\nto Trump!! <\/em><\/strong>He would draw just enough votes from the Democratic\ncandidate to contaminate the election.  <\/em>If this were to occur, it would be\na greater \u201cAmerican Tragedy\u201d than Theodore Dreiser could ever have conceived in\nhis writings. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One more year to watch this soap opera continue, to see if America\u2019s\n\u201cgreat unwashed\u201d as described by Edmund Burke, can find the time and energy to\ngo out and vote for the \u201cbest candidate\u201d, not because that individual is a Democrat\nor a Republican, but because that candidate will reflect the true values of the\nRepublic of the United States of America, not his or her personal self-interests.  For once we need someone who is truly \u201cour\nrepresentative\u201d!  I wish I could be more\nhopeful, but in truth, my pessimism prevails.  \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally.  Please\nBernie, accept your FATE!  You are unfit\nto be President of the United States .Stalin\u2019s five-year plan will not work it\nAmerica, any more than it did in Russia. \nDo not run as a third-party candidate. Please take your few million\ndollars (yes, he is quite wealthy), retire and put your flag away permanently.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s Make America Great Again!  This time without TRUMP!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
